Ben Bradley, leader of Nottinghamshire County Council and MP for Mansfield, has been selected by Conservative Party members as their candidate for mayor of the East Midlands.

Commenting, Ben Bradley said:

“I’m overjoyed to have been selected as the Conservative candidate for mayor of the East Midlands.”

“This is a huge opportunity for our region because it brings additional investment and the power to make real visible changes in our communities.”

“I’ve got history and connections across the whole of our two counties, it’s where all of my friends and family live and I’m really passionate about delivering something positive for everyone who lives here.”

“Local people have a choice at the mayoral election in May, between a Labour Party that would use these new powers to introduce fees and regulations like ULEZ, or a Conservative mayor who will use them for innovation, investment and opportunity.”
